Drawings and reference photos
During the process of drawing, I will do my best to make it look like the photo(s) as much as possible. Do not, however, expect it to be an exact copy of the photo. Pencils make for less contrast than you’d have in a photo, and colors are not always exactly the same, since there’s a limit to the available colors in pencils. I like to use multiple photo’s, to try and get the color as close to the animal as possible. Photo’s also can be deceiving when it comes to color. It is in my opinion most important you recognize your animal in the drawing 🙂
